2016 was one crazy year! 2015 finished up in the middle of a tour, which picked right back up on Jan 7. Just enough time off to celebrate the holidays with the family, get a couple good nights rest, and then back at it. I spent January and February finishing up Jon Pardi’s All Time High Tour with Brothers Osborne. Such a great tour, with killer music and hangs every night! As usual, once that tour ended, we were right back on the road again in March, and continued hitting the road through the end of the year.

I had the pleasure of recording several albums while in town, and working with some great artists and songwriters. It’s always nice to take a break from the road and work with good friends creating music. Jon’s album, California Sunrise, dropped on June 17 at number 1 on Billboard, and is one of the best albums I’ve ever had the pleasure of working on. From it, I received my first platinum record, for “Head Over Boots,” which also became the first number 1 record I’ve played on. Following that “Dirt on My Boots” was released which is currently climbing the charts fast.

Outside of playing music, 2016 had a lot in store. I was able to play some amazing golf courses, all over the country. I also found some time to do some kayaking, camping, hiking, and personal traveling as well. My wife and I visited the North West touring wineries, Glacier National Park, and Seattle. I drank some amazing wines thanks to my time in California, and the North West.

I finished up the year with Jon and The All-Nighters on Kip Moore’s “Me and My Kind” Tour. Again, it was a great tour, with great friends. All in all, 2016 was an amazing year, full of surprises, and I hope 2017 is even grander. We’re kicking off the year with Dierks Bentley, on his “What The Hell World Tour,” which goes through September. See you out there!
