About the Artist

Born and bred in Nashville, Tennessee, Lee Francis was a musician from the beginning. Lee began playing his father’s guitars from the time he could pick them up, and he began seriously playing bass at age 13. Starting on the upright, he transitioned to electric not long after and currently works as a freelance bassist out of Nashville,Tennessee. Lee has performed, traveled and recorded with a number of regional and national acts and is frequently hired for his dependability, excellent time, feel and groove. “As a bass player, it is important to provide artists with a solid foundation specifically tailored to their music.”

Along with solid and creative bass lines, Lee has made it a point to provide a service founded on dependability, punctuality, and preparedness. “My job is to provide artists with someone they can truly trust to be prepared, on time, professional, and easy to work with, in addition to a great bass player.”

For Lee, music is not only his profession and art, but also a language. As a young player he found a quality in music which exists nowhere else. With the evolution of all genres and the ever increasing use of technology, the art and language of truly talented musicians are more often being overlooked. “It is essential to preserve the essence of true music. It is not simply a collection of notes that creates music but passion and soul that truly create incredible, honest music of quality in any genre.”
